About us

Divadlo Zrakáč is the only permanent theatre ensemble in Slovakia that brings together blind, partially sighted, and sighted creators. Since its founding in 2010, it has been producing original devised performances and projects that break down barriers in the arts and show that neither creativity nor artistic quality depends on sight. Through its work, it also creates space for new approaches to theatre-making and broadens the understanding of how theatre can be created, function, and communicate with audiences. Alongside its artistic work, it is also involved in educational and awareness-raising activities and supports collaborations that enrich both creative teams and audiences.
